(Taken Jan 2012) Below: Angus Mor 29th October 2011 at just over six months old. ![]() The second foal to be born on 4th May was a yellow dun colt to Fiona of Torlundy by Ellister Islay Forester At first he seemed a big strong colt but it soon became apparent that he didn't have a strong sucking reflex. After days of Gilbert milking the mare and giving it to him in a bottle - he appeared to be taking milk from the mare himself so they were turned out again with the other mares and foals However after a further ten days or so it was clear he wasn't thriving - he'd been taking enough milk to survive, but not to thrive - and sadly he died. ![]() Kimdene foaled on 13th May, another colt. A lovely silver grey dun by Whitefield King Duncan. Compared with Angus Mor who looks a bit like a bouncer; this foal is the ballerina ! The two of them playing looks very unfair, but Skydance isn't daunted at all. ![]() Our final foal for the year was born on 14th June to Willowdene; he is a bay colt and has been registered as Royal Fleet - as he is certainly fleet of foot, with an amazing turn of speed. He is now greying out. ![]() ![]() Above: Royal Fleet with Willowdene. Fleet is now four months old and greying out fast.

Tiegandene had a colt foal on 25th April and he has been named "Angus Mor" who was apparently the first Lord of the Isles. The seat of the Lords of the Isles is at Finlaggan on the Isle of Islay. He's by Glenbanchor MacGillie Dubh (Moss-side Iain Mor x Glenbanchor Lady Fiona) and is now black. ![]() Angus Mor recently - below. ![]() Below: Fiona and Sandy in the grassy area outside the byre stables ![]() Kim's colt is one of the last by the late Whitefield King Duncan and although he currently has a large white blob on his forehead, this will grey out - probably quite quickly. Many of Duncan's foals have "dance" in their names because of their lovely paces; this foal will be registered as Skydance.
